Membership Classifications
Full Membership
Full members are U.S. military veterans or veterans of a foreign nation residing in the U.S. They may also be merchant marines or other U.S. citizens who have served in a professional capacity with or in service to the U.S. armed forces in an area and during a period of war, conflict or other hostile activity.
Full members must submit a copy of their military discharge, DD-214 or other form of acceptable documentation for verification and filing.
Full members must subscribe to the purpose, goals and ideals of VFP, and pay national dues.
Associate Membership
Associate members are non-veterans and are entitled to all the rights and privileges of full members except: (a) voting for and holding office at the national level, and (b) holding office of president or vice-president at the chapter level.
Associate members are encouraged to attend chapter meetings and national conventions and may vote on all resolutions.
Associate members must subscribe to the purpose, goals and ideals of VFP and pay national dues.
