Veterans for Peace, Inc. (VFP) is a non-profit educational and humanitarian organization dedicated to the abolition of war. VFP was founded in 1985 by ex-service members committed to sharing the horrors they experienced.

Chapter 57 of the Veterans for Peace was founded on March 16, 1991.

As Veterans we fully appreciate the consequences of United States foreign policy because at one time in our lives, we were ordered to carry it out. We find it deplorable that war seems so gratifying, so often, to those who have never experienced its horrors. We also feel it is our patriotic duty to speak out against unjustified misguided aggression in spite of the mistaken sense of euphoria and power that motivates those who advocate it. Wage Peace!
